Preventative examinations

Health examination

(According to the guidelines of the statutory health insurance)
From age 35 every 2 years
Encompassing blood sugar and cholesterol tests, urine examination, medical history, physical examination and consultation.

Screening for men

(According to the guidelines of the statutory health insurance)
From age 45 annually
Encompassing medical history, inspection and palpation of the external genitalia, palpation of the prostate (via the rectum), examination of the regional lymph nodes, test for occult blood in the stool, consultation.

Youth protection examination

(According to the guidelines of the Health and Safety Act)
Examination of general health, mental and physical condition of persons who are under 18 years old and employed in apprenticeship programs.

Sports Medical Check

In order to avoid hazards to health during exercise, sports medical checks are useful and often required before partaking in certain sports.
The sport-check always includes a physical examination. The scope of further examinations varies depending on the sport, stress level and physical condition of the athlete. A consultative discussion beforehand is important.
Meaningful further examinations may include: Blood and urine analyses, lactic acid test, pulmonary function test, ECG, exercise ECG.

Check-up

If requested additional further examinations e.g. ECG, exercise ECG, ultrasound, detailed laboratory tests.

Youth examination J1

(According to the guidelines of the statutory health insurance)
between the ages of 12 and 14
Encompassing physical examination and consultation on key issues for young people, such as alcohol, nicotine, drug abuse, and sexual matters.

Skin cancer screening

(According to the guidelines of the statutory health insurance)
From age 35 every 2 years for men and women
Examination of the entire skin from head to toe for the three types of skin cancer, malignant melanoma, squamous and basal cell carcinoma.

Vaccinations

(As recommended by the permanent Impfkommision, Robert Koch Institute) 
 For example vaccination against tetanus, diphtheria, polio, papillomavirus (cervical cancer), encephalitis, hepatitis A and B, etc.

Travel Medicine

Individual travel and tropical medical advice tailored to destination and itinerary. Special vaccinations and advice on malaria prophylaxis.
